They may have shortened their name from Andy Butler and the 905’s to the easier-to-remember The 905’s, but they certainly haven’t taken any of the power out of this power pop combo. Their last outing was a home recorded CD (Test Sounds) that became an instant fave around these parts due to the catchy late ‘70s guitar dominated sound. Now the band is back with a vengeance in a properly recorded CD that’s just bursting with energy. Fans of late ‘70s/early ‘80s high octane guitar power pop will dig these songs that are made for dancing to. Live this band is absolute killer! (Dave O’Halloran)
