THE BASEMENTS come from Greece and play straight garage punk like it used to be done in the mid ‘60s, as in lots of fuzz, farfisa, snot and screams on this little EP. The first 3 tunes are in high energy mode and then they slow it all down with the moody organ driven closer, “I Wanna Leave You”. This one goes down real nice and shows that these guys have a bit of depth and could probably make a real killer LP. Just a note, “Heart Of Stone” is not THE ROLLING STONES song, but a BASEMENTS original. (Dave O’Halloran)
