Wow! This is perhaps the most lo-fi thing ever recorded! I sat listening in disbelief at first like, what the hell is this!? I was compelled to play it again and was soon pumping my fist above my head to the unintelligible crooning of a flophouse rockabilly Danzig! I have no idea of what singer Gypsy Joe looks like but I hope it’s like Tommy Lee Jones wearing a candy apple red and lime striped Wildman cowboy shirt in Coal Miner’s Daughter! Over the top is what it is! Buried within the catastrophic hissing and crappy distortion is some really fine and heartfelt rock and roll. Just give it some patience! (Bob Scott)
