Debut CD from this relatively new trio from Montreal who mine late ‘60s/early ‘70s guitar psych territory and do it very well. This CD opens up with the long drawn out psych stomper “Elevation Time” where bassist Jaime wails like a young GRACE SLICK over the guitar cacophony. Next song, “Dialtones”, is a fuzzed out screaming psych pounder in which guitarist David handles the vocals. The rest of the CD is basically a mixture of these 2 styles and actually got the band signed to Ricochet Sound (THE GRUESOMES’ label) and a full length is due out when this ish of MZ goes to print. Live, this trio is totally wild as guitarist David spends as much time on the floor as he does on stage as he’s in constant motion, mopping the floor with his body! (Dave O’Halloran)
