Long awaited new material from this local combo that draw on garage and beat and has tinges of psyche and weird pop in there! Recorded in mono at Little Red Sound in Vancouver. (See the article on them in this issue of MZ #4!) and pressed on limited clear and black vinyl. The opening chorus of “Arms To Hold You” stuck right in my head for days but I think Side B is my favourite. The subtle feedback toward the end of the quirky “Skinny Little Arms Made Out Of Paper” is so perfect it gave me goosebumps. A must-see live band, and pick up their 2005 CD: 1961 McLean. (Bob Scott)
