It’s been 4 years since The Stance released their debut CD ‘Shall Inherit The Earth’ and the wait was well worth it! Hailing from Sydney, Nova Scotia, The Stance play a fairly unique hybrid of mid ‘60s UK sounding garage meets soul meets rhythm and blues all stewed and brewed for maximum pleasure. From the whiney soulful vocals (think Television’s Tom Verlaine if he put some effort into his singing) to the thinking man’s wall of guitar sounds to the barrage of drums, to the effortless bass, everything here just clicks together perfectly. An amazing record from such a young band, and it just gets better every listen! Live, these guys can get a crowd dancing in no time as I’ve witnessed several times! (Dave O’Halloran)
