THE VISITORS Avenging the Visigoths LP

THE VISITORS
Avenging the Visigoths LP
Going Gaga 2010

You know now what to expect from Going Gaga Records: fast, irreverent pop punk outta Ottawa. True to form The Visitors offer up six songs about cute bears in the forest, a Mr. Slimey Eel, and Russian Girls. They’re songs you’d hear on a snowboard commercial or maybe from the sidestages of Vans Warped Tour. It’s not my kinda thing, but Skottie Magellan (guitar & vocals), Kevo Polo (drums), and bassist Antarctic-Cat da Gama (who designed the inner sleeve’s full colour cute overload drawings) keep it snappy and don’t miss a beat. (Janelle Hollyrock)
