Debut release has slick packaging with a fold-out poster insert and has the neon sign they use at live shows (custom made by guitarist Chuong Vu). Pressed on magenta swirl with bubblegum pink vinyl and a black label center… I want to give it a Dirty Sanchez! Released on Meaty Beaty Records, an offshoot of Longshot Music (New Town Animals/Alternate Action). The Zipguns play kick-you-in-the-crotch HARD rock and roll, and they have a blast doing it. The Zipguns are Chuong and Anthony on guitars, Dana (ex-Draft) on bass, Wil on drums, and wicked Kustom hot rod guy Beale is the menace on vocals. Side One starts with the solid “Dirty Pictures”, then “Looking For Love” which has amazing drums. B side has “Speedway” a Gearhead love song and it ends with a great version of The Lurkers’ “I’m On Heat”! Their originals remind me of The Humpers at times. Catch them live! (Bob Scott)
