First up are The Vibrolas from Kentucky, a hard hitting trio who sound a fair bit like Motorhead due to the driving basslines. They manage to cram 3 fast and rockin’ tunes onto their side of the platter and one of the songs is a cover of a 9 Pound Hammer tune (“Little Help”) so you know they’ve got real good taste. Flip it over and Undersea Explosion, another trio, this time from NYC, play a dark and evil garagey kind of rock’n’roll that goes down real fine. Shades of Forbidden Dimension meet the early Damned on these 2 songs and there sure isn’t anything wrong with that deadly combination! (Dave O’Halloran)
