The Sweatshop Gallery, 1945 East Hastings

Bob Scott is proud to present his fifth solo show at The Sweatshop Gallery (1945 East Hastings) with a one night only, cash and carry opening on December 5, 2008. (Holdover show running until December 18, 2008.)

The Primal Cork Carving Show is a collection of animal themed cork carvings showcasing Bob’s love of monster movies and bizarre mythology. Expect to see life-size carvings of pythons vs. crocodiles, decapitated unicorns, deadly sharks, and rabid dogs, but also plenty of small affordable pieces, perfect for Christmas stocking stuffing!

Known for his innovative painted cork carvings, Bob Scott exhibits his work regularly in group shows across North America. He works with recycled wine and champagne corks and found materials to create original Halloween Folk Art and Tiki Carvings. Since his successful Tiki Plague solo show at The JEM Gallery last year, Bob has carved a niche for himself as a unique and incomparable artist.
